蹤獲扦 2025 Honored Alumnus
David Fowler
David Fowlers journey with 蹤獲扦 began in 1971 when he served as Student Senate Vice President and sat on the Presidents Advisory Council with founding president, Dr. Robert Poorman. These early leadership experiences helped shape his career, leading to his first role as Senate Liaison for the Illinois Secretary of State-just three years after graduating from 蹤獲扦.
Davids relationship with Lincoln Land extends far beyond himself; it is woven into his familys story. As 蹤獲扦 Alumni President, he had the unique honor of sitting on the commencement stage when his wife, Lisa, graduated and personally presented her diploma. Lisa later worked in 蹤獲扦s Community Education department, a division his mother, Naomi Fowler, would go on to lead. Naomi was also instrumental in developing the 蹤獲扦 Academy of Lifelong Learning, and all three of Davids daughters are Lincoln Land alums. His entire family has benefited from the education and opportunities 蹤獲扦 provides.
Davids lifelong commitment to service is evident in his role as Executive Director of Computer Banc, where he has transformed the organization into a global force for digital equity. Under his leadership, Computer Banc has:
- Processed over 35,000 computers
- Distributed more than 8,000 worldwide
- Recycled 80 tons of e-waste annually
Through this work, he has provided underserved students, families, veterans, and nonprofits with essential access to technology.
Davids passion for education has never wavered. He spearheaded a laptop program for Lincoln Land, contributed to the Computer Science Program Advisory Board, and engaged students in hands-on learning experiences to advance their knowledge and career readiness.
Beyond technology, Davids humanitarian efforts extend to the Downtown Rotary Club, where he helped coordinate 120,000 meals for disaster relief, making a difference for those in need.
For his extraordinary leadership, commitment to education, and dedication to service, we are proud to present David Fowler with this work of art created by 蹤獲扦 alum and talented artist, Bryon Hartley to recognize our 2025 Lincoln Land Community College Honored Alum, David Fowler.
