2026 ÂÜÀòÉç Careers Expo

The 2026 ÂÜÀòÉç Careers Expo will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in conjunction with the annual Lineworkers’ Safety Rodeo at Lincoln Land Community College.

The expo provides employers and organizations with the opportunity to connect with more than 1,300 area high school students from ÂÜÀòÉç’s 15-county district in central Illinois. The event is designed to increase student awareness of regional career opportunities while helping students explore education, training and workforce pathways available through ÂÜÀòÉç.

The expo will highlight careers in:

  • Agriculture
  • Workforce Institute programs
  • Health professions programs
  • First responder fields

Participating employers will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with current ÂÜÀòÉç students and area high school students
  • Share information about their organization and career opportunities
  • Engage directly with students exploring career pathways
  • Build awareness of internships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities
  • Connect with educators and community partners

As part of the event, students will also tour several campus facilities, including:

  • The Workforce Careers Center
  • The Construction Technologies Lab in Sangamon Hall
  • The Kreher Agriculture Center Health professions training areas in Montgomery and Logan Halls

More than 1,300 high school students attended last year’s expo, with strong participation expected again this year.
