蹤獲扦 Juried Student Art Show winners announced

The Lincoln Land Community College 2025 Student Art Show is now on display through May 8, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Trutter Museum/James S. Murray Gallery, located on the upper floor of Menard Hall, Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road.

A record breaking 76 蹤獲扦 art and design students submitted a total of 206 entries for consideration, representing both art studio classes and, for the first time, integrated media design classes.

Winners of awards were announced at an opening reception April 24.

Best in Show Emily Calcara of Athens for Margman Cometh

Painting Victoria Alamu of Springfield for The Great Duck, acrylic (honorable mention: Shirley Harrold of Taylorville and Dennis Stahlberg of Springfield)

Drawing -- Micah Adams of Chatham for Still-life 2, charcoal (honorable mention: Emily Webber of Auburn)

Photography Caleigh Dabrowski of Springfield for Lets Talk, gicl矇e print (honorable mention: Steven Tucker of Springfield)

3-D Design Miranda Sanders of Springfield for Connectivity, cardboard (honorable mention: Jaxson Carceres of Petersburg and Corinne Cahoon of Springfield)

Digital Media Emma Gibbs of Chatham for Tilly & the Toadstool, (honorable mention: Kavita Sundaram and DeAndre Cameron of Springfield)

Digital Illustration Sophia Smith of Springfield for Little Shop of Smiths, (honorable mention: Sophia Brooks of Springfield)

Film Joshua Phillips of Springfield for Hangover City 2, (honorable mention: Emma Gibbs of Chatham)

UI/UX Liam Dineen of Springfield for Skeletons of Fun, (honorable mention: Miranda Sanders)

Game Design Aaron Eisenmann of Springfield for Level Design, video game, game systems and design (honorable mention: Abby Oller of Springfield and Jaxson Carceres)

Oller was also honored with the Alexis Wernsing Pinnacle Award. This award was established in memory of Wernsing, a 2011 蹤獲扦 graduate. The winner is chosen by 蹤獲扦 art faculty and goes to the student who best embodies Wernsings qualities of striving for the best in all academic endeavors without complaint and no matter the context.

Student show posters were designed by Eisenmann for 蹤獲扦-Medical District and Abigail Honigman of Springfield for 蹤獲扦s main campus. Both received a gift certificate for their winning student show poster.
