SPRINGFIELD In a new partnership between Lincoln Land Community College (蹤獲扦) and Millikin University, 蹤獲扦 graduates can be automatically accepted to Millikin and complete their bachelors degree in two years with full-time enrollment, providing a seamless transfer experience for students.
蹤獲扦 students who wish to transfer to Millikin will be provided with a plan of study, as well as automatic acceptance into a Millikin baccalaureate degree program upon successful completion of an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), Associate in Engineering Science (AES) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) with a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
With this agreement, students have an opportunity to start here at 蹤獲扦 and earn an associate degree with us, while also having a four-year plan and automatic acceptance into Millikin to earn a bachelors degree, said Dr. Charlotte Warren, 蹤獲扦 President. 蹤獲扦 is committed to our community and our students success, providing clear paths for transfer as students continue their academic journey and providing opportunities to study, grow and contribute to a vibrant economy.
This transfer agreement underscores our shared commitment to student achievement and academic excellence. By partnering with 蹤獲扦, we aim to provide a clear, streamlined path for transfer students, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way as they pursue their bachelors degree.
Upon successful completion of an AA, AS, AFA or AES degree and the appropriate relevant coursework from 蹤獲扦 transfer students with a 2.0 cumulative GPA can complete the following programs in two years (four semesters) at Millikin:
Accounting, Art, Agribusiness, Applied Statistics, Arts Technology, Art Therapy, Arts Administration, Athletic Training (3+2), Biochemistry, Biology, Business Communication, Chemistry, Commercial Music, Communication, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, Elementary Education, Engineering Science, English Studies, English Education, English Writing, Environmental Studies, Exercise Science, Finance, History, Graphic Design, Management, Management Info Systems, Mathematics, Multimedia Communication, Music (requires audition), Music Business, Organizational Leadership, Physical Education, Political Science, Sociology, Sport & Recreation Management and Theatre.
Lincoln Land Community College students transferring to Millikin with a completed AA, AS, AFA, AES or AAS degree will have satisfied 100% of their University Studies requirements and can complete their Millikin bachelors degree in two years, provided they are enrolled full-time (12-18 credits per semester).
Students who have successfully met the 蹤獲扦 Honors Program requirements are guaranteed automatic acceptance into the James Millikin Honors Scholars Program upon application. This agreement is effective for the 2024-25 academic year.
